No one could have expected basketball legend Michael Jordan to make the switch to baseball after retiring from the courts. But that’s exactly what happened as MJ joined the Chicago White Sox minor league affiliated Birmingham Barons.
This pair is a homage to that brief career in baseball complete with the Barons signature blend of black and white. While it doesn’t feature the signature pin stripes of the jersey, this shoe manages to remain understated in premium nubuck. A synthetic coating on the mudguard also makes for a unique silhouette where that sheen gives an eye-catching look to an otherwise laidback sneak.
To complete the look, all the conventional AJ detailing makes an appearance including the chunky lacing system while Flight technology sits in a contrasting midsole underfoot.
