Jordan Brand announces the Air Jordan 4 “Bred” as the next shoe in the Reimagined series. In 2020, the Air Jordan 4 surged to the top of the sneaker mountain, arguably taking the number one spot from the Air Jordan 1 itself. This Reimagined edition follows on from an already strong release calendar in 2023, with the “Sea Foam” and “Photon Dust” colourways proving that demand for the silhouette is still sky high. Combining the Reimagined storytelling and the AJ4 is sure to be a recipe for success, but could this be the biggest drop of 2023?
There are still no official images of the Air Jordan 4 OG Reimagined “Bred”, with the photo above being that of an original 1989 pair. With that being said, the naturally-aged ’89 pair gives us an indicator of what we can expect on the 2023 edition. Scuffed suede, the yellowing effect on the midsole, perhaps fake cracking around the Air Unit like Jordan Brand did on the off-white x Air Jordan 2 Low “White Red” from ‘21? The design team mimicked the cracking leather around the heel collar on the Air Jordan 1 “Lost & Found” so it isn’t too much to ask for. One thing you can be pretty certain of is the ‘Nike Air’ on the heel, which has always been a favourite feature for fans of the AJ4.
