This Air Jordan 3 “Lucky Green” edition adds to the silhouette’s long lineage of green-themed shoes, joining the ranks of the “Chlorophyll” and “Pine Green” releases. As far as this drop is concerned, this women’s-exclusive is definitely a strong colourway for the female sneakerheads but something tells us those bigger sizes will end up getting scooped up by some of the male sneakerheads instead. The Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 13 have had their turn with the “Lucky Green” make-up, so now it’s finally time for the AJ3 to take a seat in the chair.
For the most part, the shoe keeps to its classic colour blocking with the traditional white upper and elephant print panels. The Jumpman on the tongue seeks the usual red embroidery that has been a key element on other classic Air Jordan 3s, such as the “True Blue” and “Cement” colourways. An aged midsole makes its way onto this release as it has on the “White Cement Reimagined” pair which is also set for a rumoured 2023 release. The “Lucky Green” accents come in the form of the eyestays, upper Air unit portion and heel branding, keeping the introduction of the new colourway classy. Let’s hope this pair sees the same success as the women’s exclusive Air Jordan 1 High “Lucky Green” release from 2020.
